That is about it. The extra work isn't worth it, and you can make some solid power with a 383.

IMO more trouble then it's worth, Just build a 383 or 396 and supercharge it.

If you have the money and time why not. Itll be better than any LT1 out there but is it really worth it to you, that's the question. Do the math. In the end you will have dropped close to 15k (Very conservative number) to get the motor in and all the odds and ends to make it work and hold boost. Then another 5k + or - for the blower. Then another 2.9k for a built tranny and converter if you stay auto. Then another 2k for a rear end that will hold. Then 2k for at least a somewhat respectable suspension setup. Then so on and so forth. In the end youll have a 30k car that's worth 6k on the street.

Yeah but brett, Peppe, Tony etc are the minority so I cant stand when people use them as a example though I see your point. Look at the extreme they had to go through to make that power and imagine the money, time, and sweat that went into it. LSWhatever isnt the end all motor but it's a better starting block and I feel it can make more HP mod for mod and dollar for dollar.
I learned, from this board I might add that if I want a LSX to get a LSX vehicle.

Youre telling me to chill but my words werent ment in vain so why would I have anything to hate? I just think it's odd when people use the same people as an example or as proof. It only prooves that not many can do it. Anyways, it was never my intent to turn this into a LT1 Vs LS1 fight thread. Seems like a civil convo cant be had when it comes to that. Anyways, I think Ill stick with my LT1 and when I'm ready to get a LS1 Ill get a C5. Wouldnt mind having both.

It's like converting a A4 car to an M6. I have seen few that work nice, and alot of them that still have a few peoblems. That might be a small job, but the point is if you want it, you should get something already factory setup, or you will be putting alot of time and money into it.
Now some of the M6 Conversion guys might chip in about what I just said..
