Default Muffler switch with LT's and loudmouth

Which muffler did you all switch to after putting LT's on your loudmouth car. I heard its very raspy I was wondering what the "best" muffler is to swtich too.

how does that compare to glasspacks/other resonators

100+ dollars seems like alot for just a muffler.

borla is top notch, and good warranty.

magnaflow is $90 per muffler but itll be somewhat lower tone than borla.

what about a purple hornie? Its a spiral louvered straight through glasspack. Has anyone tried this? I am thinking of trying one.

had those purple things...deep sound like an old school car..only loud when you get on it, though.

i have the purple hornies bolted right up to my headers... loud and deep... it crackles alot on the down rev... because its so open... but im putting the Mufflex system on this week... the thing about open exhaust is that it doesnt sound like an Fbody anymore... it just sounds like an open motor... i miss that catback rumble.. thats why im going back... but the hornies do have a good but loud sound... they arent raspy either... just crackle like thunder when the engine is down reving...

I think im going to try a purple hornie or a cherry bomb, less open then a LM muffler so hopefully no rasp.

another nod to borlamouth . good balance between loud and that unequivocal muscle car sound.
