Its true, here in Texas I think they do that in certain regions, like houston or El Paso. That is why I have my LTs going straight into 3" cutouts, then after the cutouts they go into the cats then to the Y and finally out my flowmaster catback(came with the car when I bought it)
So whenever I feel like blowing my ear drums and everybody elses, I uncork the headers, and BAM go fast time

single chamber flowmasters sound real nice. along with borla.....they both have their own sound, and do flow well. try www.ls1sounds.com and search on here. there are plenty of sound clips w/ true duals and diff. mufflers.
