Default What are you dyno'ing?

Just thought I'd ask what peoples #'s were to the rear wheels. Also, what mods were done at the time the run was made. Thanks!

In febuary, when I had my 383, solid roller and ported LT1 heads it made

451rwhp
416rwtq

A few weeks ago, with my 357, ported LT4's and s-trim/aftercooler it made

549rwhp
533rwtq

-on 93 octane, 9lbs of boost

The car blew a head gasket, and I found that one of the heads was 'soft' from previous welding repairs, and the deck surface warped.

I'm in the process of getting/porting some AFR's and I'll have it back on the dyno in a few weeks.

Last year with issues....

532 rwhp
520 rwtq

Car would only make power up to 5600 rpms and then just fall off. After months of tracking any possible problems it turned out to be one of my new spark plug wires that was bad.

So, this next time around I will be lookin' for about 580-600rwhp and about 550-575 rwtq.

Info on car:
1996 Z28 (m6)
-10 psi of boost (Vortech S-trim w/aftercooler)
350 cubic inch LT4
- GTP stage 2 heads,#5 cam, ported intake
- all forged internals

I have not dynoed this combo yet, but I figure based on the track times and vehicle weight I am around 450rw NA. 396 solid roller, AFR 210s, etc..

I need to finish up the tuning though....and finding someone to do that is tough within a 5-6hr radius of me.

My 93 made 453 rwhp and 421 rwtq N/A. It's a 396 with LT4 heads and a custom hydraulic roller simlar to the GTP #6 cam. I have a TNT 250hp shot on top of that, but have not sprayed the motor yet. After seing the power levels the TNT F-2 kit gave my stock bottom end I would expect at least 275 more rwhp on their 250 jets and alot more torque. Hoping that ~ 700rwhp will be good enough to put the 3300lb car into the 9's later this year.

Thought I'd join and post. The numbers and combo are in the sig. Pulled through a locked converter on radials, 160 temp in the motor, iced intake, which is just like I race. So the rwhp #s are representive of actual track power. Actually though, I only made 400rwhp. I had a 10 hp spike when I hit the rev limiter which I had set too low.

I know, Ken, it sucks living up here without any atmosphere. I'm thinking about taking it to Kansas City in the spring when I do for a wedding. I'd like to do some racing also. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
