Idle is sticking higher
Last week I pulled the fuse for my PCM to reset it and ever since then I've had a couple of strange issues. The first one is that when I start up the engine cold, it now revs to 1700rpm instead of 1500, plus it hangs up at this higher rpm longer. Then, when I'm slowing down after having driven on the highway for a while, the idle wants to stay up at 1000rpm in drive, instead of coming down to the usual 600-700, so when I'm in rush hour traffic the engine is fighting against the brakes more. If I come to a complete stop for about 5 seconds, eventually the idle comes down from 1000rpm but then it goes a bit lower than usual and seems rougher.
Should I reset my PCM again? If I do, is there an idle relearn procedure I should be doing? I know with Fords that when you reset their PCM there is an idle relearn procedure that needs to be done, but it involves idling quite a long time (15min) in neutral, then idling for a while in drive too.
