Default whats the diff between vented and nonvented opti's

my 94 i beleive came with a nonvented opti can i run a vented? the vented are cheaper and seem more durable. i need to buy a new one and need some info!

You'll need a different timing cover I believe. Some other misc. parts. There is a conversion kit around.

If you go vented. There's a place for the built up moisture to go.

If you have a stock cam you will also have to change that out, or have the hole in front of it redrilled. Aftermarket cams already have the bigger hole. You could also get the MSD for '92-'94, it's vented. Here's a link on what you need to change over if you don't go with the MSD.

There is a bunch of stuff that you have to change around. Timing Cover, Cam Pin, and get the Vacumn Connection on the Intake for it, and the 2 Vacumn Lines.

Cause it vents out the moisture out of the bottom of it, that kills it.
