ONE whole response? Wow, now I know why there's no aftermarket for stuff like this for the LT1.
ive been wanting it done myself. chrome and performance hasnt offered one yet either. i thought about getting in contact with them about just sanding it down myself and then having them chrome it. maybe we'll get some more respone.

1. If you bring a part that's been "sanded down" into a chrome shop and tell them to just dip it, they won't even touch it, or in the very least, won't touch it in as is condition. Polishing the parts before they chrome them is how they make their money.
2. Chrome & Performance doesn't do their own chroming. If you send him a pump, he's gonna turn around and send it out to some other guy to have it chromed. You'd be better off saving yourself the extra shipping charges and just find your own chromer who you'd have the satisfaction of dealing with face to face should any issues arise.
thats nice looking, so it hasn't been chromed, you just polished it? I read the whole other post, just wondering.
I'm sure you could find a market for it, I went to a car show a few weeks ago, seems the LT1 is a popular engine for 30-50 street rods these days. I'm sure people out there would want this, its so nice looking.

No one ever sees it, plus it take away HP anyways. It would be smarter to convert to an electric pump to free up some ponies.
Not only that, you waited 7 hours, how many replies where you expecting about a polished waterpump?
Most of the guys here are more concerned about performance.

That does look sharp. Alot of time in it.. More time there than it took to drop my Motor, put the Car back together, and take the Motor apart. And if no one believes it took 13 hours by myself, there are witnesses.. 
off topic, but the reason you convert to a EWP is becasue at idle with the stock water pump its spining at half the engines speed and not flowing as much coolant as a EWP. At higher engine speeds the stock pump actually flows more coolant then the EWP. The amount of hp that the conversion "frees up" will be so miniscule it probably can't be measured. plus you don't have to worry about leaks with a EWP.

-There IS alot of great aftermarket stuff for an LT1.
-Having an electric waterpump DOES free up hp since youre camshaft doesnt have to spin the waterpump. Many LT1 owners on here have done this.
-Some people like stuff like that, some people don't. I for one respect the work, but at the same time wouldn't do it unless it was for a show car. But thats just my .02.

For something like that, I would put it on a show Car. That's alot of time in something to beat around daily. As far as the Mechanical vs. Electrical, at idle it may be spinning a low RPM off of the Cam, but how often are you at idle..as long as it's moving through the Engine and Radiator, you are good. I would trust mechanical anytime over Electrical, but that's just me.

Electric water pumps get there power from the engine as well, but rather then directly from the camshaft like the mechanical one it gets it indirectly from the alternator, either way the power is still going to the pump, the difference is how
