Default What to do to the car with spare cash?

Whats up all...Ive got some money now to dump into my bone stock except for a CAI and elbow 94 Formy. I've got around 500 give or take some to spend and I'm trying to decide what to do with it. I'm away at school so I can't really do anything too crazy yet.

These are some of the things I'm thinking...
-Window tint (5%)
-Im an audiophile so upgrading from my 10 to a 12 or 15 and doubling power is
an idea too
-Cat-back...although this summer I will do the entire exhaust so I may just
hold off
-3.42's or 3.73's
-suspension (SFC's, T/A, Panhard)
-Shift Kit, Tranny Cooler, temp guage on the a pillar....this would make
a stall the next mod in the progression

What would some of you guys do and are there any ideas I'm forgetting??

Get a mail order tune, with some valve springs. but You really need a catback to really feel those.

None of those things have anything to do with the LT1, so I'm a bit puzzled why the post is in the LT1 engine forum. But anyway, that's a minor point.

The "basic" bolt on performance package in my opinion is 1. Cold Air Intake, 2. Catback exhaust, 3. Long tube headers, 4. 1.6 roller rockers and upgraded valve springs, 5. mail order or dyno tune.

That should be a 35-50hp package easily.

you can laugh, but my cadillac woke up quite a bit with just new valve springs. And I know it wouldn't have shown itself nearly as much if I had done it with the grandpa quiet mufflers.... The extra high rpm power from the valves not floating would have been held back by the stock mufflers. With the stock mufflers, the car really died off up top...

What is so funny about that?

I have to pass emissions...pacesetters=no good for that right?

For exhaust I was looking into Macs and a catback...i think true duals would be too loud for me

You can sometimes still pass with longtubes as long as you keep the cat and your O2s are working correctly.

Depends on how strict the test is.

Don't do a tune right away, get it after a full exhaust. Exhaust should be number one on the list. GMMG is respected around here or go the true duals route. You could always do suspension because power has to get to the ground somehow. Subframe connectors, lower control arms, panhard rod, springs, shocks, etc. Just make sure to do it right the first time so as to now waste money on other things later on.
