Rear Brake question
But I have a slightly bigger problem, I narrowed my rear end enough that the LCA mounting point on the rear end is completely in the way of these weights going back on. I cant grind them down any, because it would literally require cutting the weight in half.
If I decide to remove my e-brake, can I also remove this bracket and weight without any adverse effects?
If not, can the weight be relocated without any adverse effects. I could cut the mounting stud off and weld it up higher on the bracket about 1 1/2" above and towards the wheel face at a 45* angle. (basically the angle the bracket follows, cut it down and weld the stud on the shorter bracket)
My mounting stud for the weight literally sits 1/8" away from the LCA bracket.
Do I have any other options to deal with this small dillema?
Thanks in advance
Id like to keep the e-brake, but if it wont work without that silly weight thing, Ill gladly get rid of them or modify the bracket to hold the weight closer to the brake
Tony do you still have your e-brake? Or did you remove everything associated with it as well?
The weight is mounted to a stationary bracket, nothing it attaches to moves. So what exactly would this weight do for the e-brake, thats not neccessary for the regular brakes?
