I was gonna ask this yesterday after trying to put on my stock covers. I did a search and found out that you can simply modify them. I only read this, but seems rather intuitive, I wish there were pictures though...anyways, those supports that attach to the holes where your covers bolt down in between the rockers, I guess you can use a pair of pliers and bend them down so the rockers can clear them. Apparently takes only a few minutes to do. Then that black box which is the oil something or other, I guess you can crush that with the pliers as well and it should fit.

Hope that helps, I am gonna be doing that this weekend. If anyone wants to chime in with pictures, that would be great!

Stock and mine are just fine bend the suppors like mentioned and crush the oil seperator/black box/whatever you want to call it. when you remove the cover and look at the supports you 'll see how the bracket is "L" shaped. Just bend them straight.

Crane 1.6 RR do the same to the valve covers with?

Will the centerbolt Edelbrock covers work/work better? I have a set of those on another motor I can use.

What about the Vette molded plastic? I like the squarish look of those.
