Everything works the same as it did on my oem cluster. It's just a 200mph overlay that has been calibrated to read correctly. Its not a brand new cluster, it has the same mileage it had on it when i shipped it out to be serviced.

Now i can speak from personal experience that the mileage will be different if you installed a digital cluster from a 97 because the mileage is stored in the cluster and not the pcm. so if your 94 has 114k miles and the 97 cluster only has 85k miles then the mileage will appear as 85k and can only be changed with a gm scan tool with the capabilitys of doing so.

but if we swap from a pre 97 to a 97 cluster, what happens? does everything work normal? Is it a direct swap, do you have to swap out the harness or anything retarded like that?

Here are some night pictures... as you can see the overlays dont line up, and its not just slightly, but dramatically...

You really cant tell during the day, becuase there is no light being emitted from behind, so it all looks good.

On the speedometer, look at the 30 40 and 50. They are lined up perfectly, but everything else is not. Go figure.
