Default Injector Size And Steam Tube

I'm installing a fresh '95 LT1 from a T/A into a '57 Chevy, I want to put new injectors in it as I install it. What did it come from factory with and is there any other size that will work without reprograming?

The steam tube that originates at the rear of each head and passes through
(or by passes) the throttle body....It ends at the radiator, what is the recomended location? Can I use the threaded bung in the lower tank? It's
a Griffin radiator and the bung is probably for a sending unit, keeping in mind that it's a reverse flow system.

Thanks,
jeff

The stock LT1 Injectors are 24lbs. That Steam Line is a return line for the Heads. I would put it up high, so it has no resistance when it flows, and block off the lower bung.

It's the line that connects the heads together and then runs up the passenger side of the intake manifold the radiator.

And before anyone asks... yes, you DO need the steam tube, serves as the ONLY way to get steam and trapped air out of the back of the heads. Also... DO buy new seals, but get them from Dal at VanDevere or somewhere else online... dealers want between 7 and 11 bucks EACH, and you need 4.

And since no one answered the other Q... no, if you change injector size you DO need to program for them.

If its a stock LT1 the stock injectors will be fine unless they are bad I used SVO's.

I think you'd be able to get away with 26lb not having tuned, but even tuning it you'd get a good boost in performance.
