Default Anyone know what a Quad Driver module (QDM1) is????

hey guys, I still have a problem with my 93 with sputtering from time to time, it seems it will clear up at times and then others it will just crap out on me and sputter like crazy.

I have the delteq system and it did clear alot of my ign problems but it still has this slight problem like if I accelerate it kind of feels like its ok but if Im cruising and I goto roll on the gas it sputters like holy hell.

I removed my AIR pump and blocked off the crap coming off my headers as well, could this be affecting anything?

Naw... Air is only for startup emissions. Your check engine light should be on for disconnecting the air pump but, it wont effect anything else other than your ability to pass an emissions inspection. more info about when this sputtering happens and how your driving it when it happens would be helpful.

well ok basically accelerating off the line from a stop light I can notice it slightly missing but it kind of like clear up and fire those cyls that seem to be missing on. if Im rolling at a normal speed and I goto roll on the throttle it will sputter until i give it a lil bit more gas and it will pik up the revs a lil more and then it will snap out of it to say. full throttle seems to be decent but I think theres more power to be gained if this problem was fixed.

any info would be appreciated..

thanx man!

the qdm is an internal part of the ecm/pcm.

so do I have to replace my ecm?

also is the ecm on the 93's under the hood, looking at the engine on the left hand upper side?

I had the same code. The pcm is bad so go ahead and replace it. Your car will run 100 times better.

If you disconnect the EGR relay and AIR pump relay, the '93s set quad driver codes. It's not likely a defective ECM.
