While we're on the subject. Can I drop on Crane 1.6 RRs on a stock 93 head with 95K miles?

yes. The extra lift you will get will not surpass the spring lift limit of the factory springs.

You can go higher, but all your doing it raising spring height (major problems...Valve Float)...You can basically do the same by changing the cam, and eliminating valve float at the upper rpm.

I've read about adjustable crane rockers 1.55 to 1.65 or somehting like that, but I'm sure they're non self aligning and are pricey. I've heard the Scorpion make a good 1.7 ratio rocker.
You would have to change thhe springs for those.

"GTP PWR" on here has Scorpion 1.7's on his LT1 383. Not sure what springs he uses. You can PM him, hes a good friend of mine.

if you use the 1.7 rocker you must make sure your springs will work or else you will max out the springs and you dont want to get your heads machined in order to make the springs fit, its a pain in the ***! trust me! with a moderate cam and 1.6 arms, that will be plenty enough of upgrade to notice a very nice difference
