that setup looks awesome!

if you don't mind me asking, what was the reason for cutting and re-routing the #7 exhaust tube, up, and over the rest for? more steering shaft clearance?

the work on the core support in the first couple pictures is amazingly clean, I love how you boxed in the edges as to not look all half-assed like so many of the other turbo setups (whether LT1 or LS1 based) that I have seen here lately, all who have put a smaller radiator sitting straight up and down... most just cut the support, and leave it rough.

things like this give me similar ideas for a SBC swap and a turbo.

how complicated was the passenger side exhaust to be routed? I notice there is a flex pipe in the middle, what necessitated the use of that?

IMHO, that has got to be the nicest, cleanest, most straight forward LT1 setup I have seen as of yet!

ya, or it might take some work but make the turbo sit closer to the passenger side, that was it could go into pass side of the intercooler easier, and you would ahve room for a fan on the drivers...

it MIGHT take SOME work? I would have to redo the entire turbo kit...

but the thing is your not seeing the reasoning for the turbo placment. right there, it is out of the way of the radiator port (and have room to route hose), i can fit a decent size filter and retain the stock battery location, plus i dont have a bunch of downpipe under the enginebay. If i were to move it to the drivers side i would also run in to the radiator port problem, move the compresser saide way further towards the drivers than i want, and downpipe routing would be even more of a bitch.

That is absolutly the best spot for the turbo. Period. Open your hood and start looking at the **** that is in the way. really... it is the best spot.. i mean look at the PTK setups.. look familiar?

if you get rid of abs and get a k-frame you can fit a 88 or even a y2k88 on the drivers side facing forward and run up to a 4.5in down pipe right past everthing. that is if you dont mind not using a airfilter! most people dont use them anyway.

Yeah, and thats how the TT Henessey Viper's turbo ingested a pebble..... Not running a air filter sounds like a great idea!!

Nice btw. I still stare at front mount setups on these cars in disbelief, I want to start screaming when I open the hood on the old 94, I hate pulling this and that out to get to whatever is broke. I'm always amazed by what else people seem to be able to fit under there.
