If an LS1 does one mod an LT1 will need two just to keep up,so who's spending more money?

you need a bolt on LT1 to keep up with a bone stock LS1. only benifit to the LT1 is that the initial cost is cheaper, along with stroker kits being cheaper. its cheaper to forge an LT1 by far.

LT1s are bitches to work on. LS1s are a pleasure. i have 2 LS1s and 2 LT1s, both LT1s and one LS1 are stock, the other LS1 i completely rebuilt, ive worked on Gen 1 motors and LS1s and LS1s arent that much more, but have tons of advantages, plus you dont want to set your car on fire when you work on an LS1

so nobody has a dyno graph for an LT1 and an LS1? i think that's what we're all waiting for! i'm not asking for one because i don't believe (because i do). rather, i would just love to see the 2 together!

That doesnt make any sense.
By your logic, if the LS1 had 7 mods, the LT1 would have 14.
Thats an *** kicking.

Above is a picture of my buddy's old LT1 versus his new LS2. The old 96 WS6 had;

Scorpian 1.7's
Longtubes
Ghetto rigged off road y pipe into a muffler of the end of the Y, I think it was a bullet
K&N for the ram air

The LS2 is STOCK

Notice the difference, exactly the same horsepower till 4850rpm, and slightly more torque down low. Interesting shiznit eh?

so it took 1.7 rockers, long tubes, no cats, and dumped exhaust to make the same power as a STOCK LS2.

Stock vs stock the LT1 would never make the same poer/torque anywhere in the RPM band.

Ehh who cares when your in stock form. everyone knows the LS1 will usually beat the LT1. Thats why we mod! Besides, Its so much more fun to go out and stomp LS1 guys exspecially when they see your just the lowly LT1.

why wouldnt a stock LS2 make more power than stock LT1

Those are some nice numbers for just having intake, exhaust, and 1.7 RRs.

Find a CAI only LT1 and compare.
Car ran a 12.8@108
you've dont got any numbers for lower down in the rpms, but by the trend I dont see you having more than 315tq anywhere below 3250

thanks, all i have that adds power is a homemade cold air intake, pacesetter mid-tubes, gutted cat, flowmaster 80 series, and a crappy jet chip stage 2.

plus i have done all the little b.s. free mods that are like 1rwtq here 3rwtq there. evidently they add up nicely. the car has a nice neck snap for the mods.

my hp curve jumbled up at 4500 rpm on the dyno bc i had a broken spark plug. once i changed that out it was even faster. my hp should be around 300-310rwhp.

Everyone always talks about 1.6 rr's, where are these 1.7s?!
