Yes that is ford blue nice catch! The car is blue that it is going in the heads are trick flow 23deg and I had them ported polished and valve job on them... They were done by Greg Burkhardt of gt racing heads out here in N. Carolina. im running a 9.8-1 CR and I have the best of everything in there. Fred Lankford did the build he does all race motors for cup cars and alot of drag racing guys. It wasn't cheap but it was done right. It should go in this weekend. Its going thru a A4 with a 3800 stall and a stock 10 bolt for now. But i will let you know it's good for over a 400 shot

My stroker motor is in the same stages as yours right now and you have the MSD Opti. I'm assuming one of us will be the first on the boards with a 383 and the MSD. I'll race you to see who can finish first lol.

Wow thats aweful blue! Looks nice, but why didnt you mask off the pan rails when you painted it?

1qwkt/a - fwiw, I think tony shephard already had one on his 396... I know he doesnt now though, switched to an old school style distributor.
I may be installing one here soon as well.

Why the low compression for a nitrous motor?

Even more reason for the question I asked. Nitrous LOVES compression and since LT1's come stock with 10.5 to 1, I'm not sure why you dropped it.

383 with the MSD pro billet here too...I love it so far.

Sweet looking setup man! I would guess the lower compresion is for a big shot on 93 octane...no race fuel needed. Mine is 11.8:1- I'd about need race cas to spray more than a 100 shot. Wish I had stayed around 10.5:1 myself.
