Diagnostic port under my seat?? ok i took my drives seat out of my 94 z28 to get it recovered. under it is what looked like some diagnostic port and a co-axial cable (the kind of cable that screws into that back of your tv..but anyways i was just wondering what the hell this is doing under my seat. whatever it is, it was installed professionally. thanks for the help guys.

what gauge of wire is it some high end stereo wires are like that. Also what color most likely it was some ones Amp power cable or used for a power converter.

Could be one of those "handsfree" CB radios that have the controls on the microphone so the unit can be installed anywhere.
I see a lot of them in the RVs where I work.

ok guys, here is the pic of whats is under mys seat and thus far has me still guessing on what it was used for. Please excuse the loose change and dirty carpet. I havent had a chance to clean this car since i purchased it.

lol looks like you are wired up for Digital cable in that thing. That is crazy neither of those should be there. have you traced them back to see were they go. I have no clue what they are maybe someone on here does .

Nope as I mentioned earlier cables for an older style motorola in car mobile phone. Younger guys may not remeber these depending on how old you are but I installed a **** load of them in the day's. Just pull it out and dont worry or just leave it.

yeah i wouldnt be suprised. the kid i bought the car from was a total...umm yeah nevermind. He knew absolutley nothing about car whatsoever...but yeah anyways, thanks for the help guys. i ordered my new steering knuckle and it will be here on friday and then the car is off to the body shopy to get fixed and re-painted. I cant wait to get her back and install my new cam and get the heads prted and polished.
