LT1 > LS1 ???
LT1 > LS1 ??? Hello everyone, everybody always says the LS1 is faster then the LT1. On my 93 all my mods are Pacesetter shorties, no cat, TB bypass & underdrive pully. I dynoed at 268rwhp/303rwtq. I have raced 2 LS1 M6, one stock, and the other one with muffler. The results were the same I pulled about 3 cars by the top of 4th. then I raced 1 A4 LS1, mods he had were LT,Magnaflow, and lid. I pulled him 3 cars also. I dont know if its driver error, but I think they should have one
Im gonna call Driver Error........cause my 95 Z with the mods listed in my sig, just barly hang with a M6 LS1 with a Lid, and Cat-back.....and just gets destroyed by a Stalled, L/Ts, Borla Cat-back and lided LS1....

hmm. i dunno about beatin too many LS1's. i put down 300 whp and still have trouble with the newer LS1's. i can beat my friends 98 M6 that has a cat back. but some other guys i know have bolt-on cars and i can't stay with em. but the guy above is rite about the LT1's low end power. the LS1 usually gets me above 60 or so.... but even if i lose a race i still love my M6 LT1

What speed did you go to? Race past 70mph (like at the track lol) and see what happens.
A lot of near stock LT1's will pull that much on a LS1 untill 70mph range... thats when the LS1 keep breathing and the LT1's start to choke.

The LS1 sounded like he was shifting too early. Look at that LS1 Vette, he ate you both very easily.
I can beat the LS1's with several boltons, I kill some of my friends all the time. I am right with a friends LS6 Z06, and he has LT's, a Tune, better Clutch, and some other stuff. We are pretty much even. Then again I have a bit done myself, and my car is anerexic..
A few people said it already, and they are right, the LT1 has that low end grunt. I pull ahead of the Z06 about 4 carlengths, and then he catches up and is right with me, all the way to 130+mph.

He didn't know how to drive it basically. My friends Z06 runs 12.6's, that was where my old motor was. Now I am a little faster, but as mentioned earlier, I have a few things done to mine.
If you got a factory freak, good on you, but a stock LT1 isn't going to take a LSX.

I can beat stock LS1's all day long, doesn't mean that the LT1 > LS1.
Even though my older brother has an LS1 and I pwn him everytime we race
I'm sure he will respond to that one lol.
