Best LT1 stock head casting

Like the title says what is the best stock casting head for the LT1? what year did they come on?

it has been asked before and not to be a dick but SEARCH is your friend.

Also they say that the pre 96 I am pretty sure was there answer have more material to work with.

I asked the same question and everyone said they all are the same. Only the earlier ones had more metal to work with if one was to P&P.

Are you looking for the best performing head as cast or the best for porting, the answer is different depending which you meant to ask.
The answers sofar have been focused on best for porting which are actually worst as cast.
