Default My car hates me

Ahhhhh well today I noticed a nice little puddle of coolant under my car after driving it awhile. It seems to be coming from some magical hole under the water pump not really where it connects to the block. But anyway every time I stop and shut the car off it starts leaking out but not when I am driving or ideling. Scary to know that my OPTI might get a little bath every time I drive and shut off my car I don't think she will last long.

Get that fixed quick, that will cause your opti to crap out.

It is called a weep hole, you need a new waterpump. It is there to tell you when you need a new WP, it starts to leak like so.

Dumb question I know but I should just get the reman W/P from any local parts store that will suit the stock motor just fine?

probably wont hurt just remember to drain all the coolant out the block before you take the wp off or you will need a new opti. Also just to be safe from anything put like a plastic bag or something over the opti while changing the wp.

New water pump isn't to bad... easy to replace too... just need to drain coolant out of the block like mentioned above. Might want to pull the fans to give yourself some extra room. Its like $70 for a reman and around $140 for a new one. Dont forget new gaskets and only use the orange coolant.
