At idle and engine warm it should be 5-6 psi.

With the engine warm, mine has always ran 20-25 psi at idle and 40-50 cruising.

My old one was about that low, at WOT it was barely half way on the gauge. That might of led to a spun main..
The new Engine with the regular Melling Oil Pump idles at the Halfway mark on the gauge, and that's hot. I haven't seen it go below that yet. That's with 10W-30 Oil too.

I would have it on the high side than on the low side...just me though. I spent $1800 on the new Engine cause of not enough oil getting through it.

What doese everyone run, mechanical or electrical. I would like a mechanical but have mixed feelings about if she would blow the tubing. Then you have a mess???

Thats why you pitch the plastic tubing that comes with the guage, and replace it with copper.
