I beg to differ about how it improves..
I have about 12" of travel for the air to get to the Throttle Body, and it's a straight path. The stock one is about 16"-20" long, and it has an Elbow in it, which restricts flow. Add a CAI on a stock Intake, you shorten the path, yet you still have the Elbow, which is restricting it.
In the 1/4 with the old setup on the old Engine, I noticed a gain of 2mph in my trap speed, it was a horrible 60ft, and a slower time. That time also was it pretty much cold to the track, and it was .2 off of my previous fastest time. I had a CAI on it before I put the Lid on it, so I already see a gain on my setup. I am dynoing it soon.
I see it working better, then again talking about it is what these forums are for.
When I take it in the spring to the 1/4, I'll see what it does, I see it being faster.

What I have on it now is a Granetelli Lid, and a K&N Filter. A friend of mine put the same Lid on his LS1 Z28, he got a 10 rwhp gain..I guess that is what they are good for.

Yea, I am working on that..I just like the insurance of that the Cowl won't come off. It has the tape on it also. I might paint the screws black. It looks better than the box sticking up out of the Hood.

Those are just blue and orange lights for looks, I wired them into the Fog Light circuit. If I was a Jolly Volly here, I could put the Red Strobes on it and run them.
