At what horsepower are you having trouble with the stock intake? It doesn't look good as far as flow across the inside. I'm gather pieces to build a 383. Which I hope to run mid 10's with.

Unless you plan on spending alot of time above 6200 rpm, don't bother upgrading. You have to be making in excess of 450 rwhp to get an improvement from a single plane.
BUT, if you decide you want one anyway, I have a Victor EFI that I'm selling. It has already been drilled for LTx heads and comes with fuel rails and other accesories to make it work.

yeah he's right.... if you goals are around 450RWHP (not with a power adder cuz with nitrous or a blower you can make more) and you intend to keep rpm's around 6200-6400 you'll be fine with a ported stock unit.....
if you're going all out or if you have heads that require big airflow then you'll want a single plane setup...... or if your power plans are calling for 500+ RWHP naturally aspirated.... Tony Shep made 525RWHP with a single plane. I'm building a very similar motor and expect roughly the same power..... all done with a single plane manifold.....
My ported stock LT1 manifold made 422RWHP naturally aspirated and 525RWHP on the 150 shot (I had swapped to a TH400 between those two numbers so the 525 should have been more like 575ish).....

how did he mod it to fit with 18* heads????? cuz my intake (single plane) when it was plopped down on a longblock with 18 degree heads was frikkin way off. the head angle was completely different and there was a huge gap where the intake meets the head surface....
and i never knock anyones combo's cuz everyone has got a reason to do what they do but WHY would you buy 18* heads and put a stock LT1 intake back on it????? kinda like buying Pro Action 18* heads and plopping a holley 450 carb on top no????
