Default Oil pump Part number??

Can anyone give me the number for a melling oil pump that is similar to my stock pump. I was going to go with the M55a high - pressure but as of right now i am undecided due to reading posts about higher volume. This will be used on a 355 build.

You can get it at Autozone, and with the steel Drive Shaft also. I paid like $45.

M55 is the stock style pump with the smaller inlet. I think the M155 has the larger inlet. Just make sure you get the pickup to match. Why not get the M55A? The HV pumps are known to suck the stock pan dry, but not the HP ones.

If the M155 had an "A" version with the higher pressure spring, then I would have gotten that one, but for some reason they don't have one.

True. That was my plan, but I also didn't know the M55 had the 5/8" inlet instead of the 3/4" and I had already bought it. Shouldn't make that much of a difference, I hope.

Mine has a 5/8 inlet on the side of the Pump, and that's the M155..It works, idles at 30+psi.
