Fuel injector swap. Nitrous and larger cam. What flow?
Installing a 503 cam and headers on my LT1. I am already running a 125 shot of nitrous and am thinking about changing out the injectors. Every so often when I crank the car up, it black smokes and sometimes is smells extremely rich when I pull up to a stop sign after running on the highway for a bit. I have replaced everything but the injectors and with the nitrous and cam, I though maybe I should look into some performance injectors which may flow a bit more. Anyone tested out a similar setup who may know which brand and flow rate of injectors may be the safest way?

You didn't say whether you're running a wet or dry shot. If you're smoking and running rich, something is wrong. Check to see if your injectors are leaking and you should get it scanned or tuned. Thne you can look at new injectors. Stock should be fine for that cam.

Dry zex kit. Have scanned the car on tech 2. No problems found. Changed out pressure regulator, plugs and wires, opti cap and rotor, injector service. Still runs rich, atleast without nitrous is does.

Why would it be in the tuning if it does it on start up when I am not running the nitrous? The car runs rich every so often, not all the time at all. It also ran rich way before I put the nitrous on. Tuning has nothing to do with it. . Since the injectors seem to be leaking causing this rich condition, I need to change them. Just trying to figure out if I should install larger injectors due to the future cam swap and the addition of a 125 shot of nos. Seems like that would be a safe thing to do.

Ok, I didn't notice you mentioned leaky injectors. If that's the case, then you need to get the injectors rated for whatever FWHP you will be running. The formula as I was told is:
HP * .07 = #/HR
In other words, if I want to run 500 FWHP, then I'd need at least a 35# injector to be safe.
You might want to ask around in the nitrous forum to see what the dry kit requires. Are you sure your O2 sensors are working properly?

I checked the o2 sensors on a tech 2. It was a basic rich/lean cycling analysis, but they seemed to be in order. I am trying not to put an injector in that is so large that the computer will need a retune again. I'll check out the math you sent. I appreciate that.
