I prefer going out of the top. But if you want to go out of the bottom, I would contact Fanta Z on z28.com He has some nice pics and right ups on it. Also try just searching here

I took mine out the top. I hear you can take it out the top- with the heads on, but i havent tried that. the Motor will be going back in with the heads on...hopefully I dont wanna torque them down while its in the bay. Oh and IF search is working there are a few good write ups for either way.

I just got mine out the bottom today. Not bad, but an extra set of eyes or two make it much easier. Make sure you have ALL the electrical connections and the brake lines. There is a writeup somewhere with pics.

A buddie and I just got mine in about an hour ago, we took the hood off. you can go from the top with a fully assembled engine with no transmission but it is a pain in the *** to do. but mine had the intake, throttle body, heads w/ valve covers, exaust manifolds, spark plug and wires/ but no altenator/starter/power steering pump/air pump/ idler pulley/ radaitor/ front bumper/ battery. it might be a wise idea to trimm or tweek the lip of the cal cause we bent mine in a couple of spots.
