Hot Cam Advice !!!!
I want to port and polish the heads but I don't want to go crazy on modifications. I have Hooker headers, MSD Coil, SLP Air induction, aftermarket underdrive pully, SLP light weight flywheel, Spec stage 2 clutch for the M6, Aluminum driveshaft, After market torque arm, 4:10 gears and a flowmasters.
As far as the engine, I only have the headers and 1.6 golden rockers. My question is what else do you guys think need to be done at this point if I'm looking for around 400 horse, beside the hot cam, what else needs to be done if I want to port and polish the heads, again, I'm just looking to have more power but I'm not racing, I simply want to beat every factory Mustang out there
.Any help will be soo appreciated, I'm new to this.
Thank you guys.

What happens if I use nitrous and keep my LT1 stock and just add 1.6 rocker arms? I just don't wanna damage anything and I'm really clueless about the nitrous as you can tell. I really appreciate all your help guys. One last question: What type of RWHP should I expect if I add nitrous to a hot cam, ported and polished heads and all the things I mentioned that I already have on the car?
Thank you guys again, I appreciate your suggestions.
I am saying this after reading various forums for months and I dont usually hear to many actually suggest the hotcam. I dont think it is much more then the factory lt4 cam if I remember correctly. Anything factory could be improved upon.
You can add as much nitrous as you want. There are people spraying up to 150hp shot on a stock LT1. The LT1 loves nitrous because of the relatively high compression. You should do it safely with all the necessary switches and relays.

AI 190cc heads, ported intake and a cam pretty similar in duration to the Comp 503.
Through an M6 there is absolutely no doubt I would be over the 400rwhp number through fairly quiet exhaust even, Dynomax UltraFlo 2.5" with resonators and x-pipe.
Like I said above going to need above average heads and cam. The local machineshop down the road would be a crapshoot for heads at this level. Sure there are some who could do it but not many. Better off to work with people who have proven what they are capable of.
