But you ask if it's worth it??? yeah I still have a 1LE and it's one of 106 built that year..... your trans am is probably like one of 10,000 no diss intended believe me but they're not at all rare..... so the rarity of the model makes it worth it to me..... a 1LE car could be worth BIG money someday to a collector..... look at true SS Camaro's from the 60's.... or better yet yenko's.... or the factory big block cars of which very few were made.... who knows what the world will be like in like 2040..... a 1LE might be worth hundreds of thousands to the right person.....

I hear what you're saying about it being worth money someday, I just thought a stripped down car might be a good bit faster.
But ya, I already have a stripped down bare bones '69 Cougar with a custom color combo unavailable to the public (Quicksilver/Black). Some Mercury dealer ordered it for his daughter back in the day.

97 Formula 6sp hardtop stripper with no power anything, cloth seats, no fog lights, no rear defroster, base model sound system, only has ac and a cd player. Ran a best of 14.2@101 bone stock with a shitty 2.3 60ft, never got back to the track while stock As it sits now it weighed in at 3340 without me (180) and over a half tank of gas. Can't wait to actually really lighten it up eventually

My 95 Z/28 was what I would consider a stripper . Hardtop, M6, manual windows and locks, cloth seats. Options were I think Bose system, A/C, and thats about it. I loved everything about that car.

Two cool things about my car are that it is silver (1995 was the first year for silver) and that it is AC-delete (1995 was the last year for AC-delete). It was delivered in May of 1995, so it might even be the last AC-delete Formula ever built? I wonder how rare it is? I really doubt that I will ever sell it. I still have my first car, a 1969 GTO.

Matts94z28, whats a good price? Let me know, I kinda want power windows I think. I really miss power windows. Whats it really going to add to my car like 10 lbs.?
Anyone know if I would have to replace the window tracks also or would the electric motors hook up to whats in there now???

Actually, the Tracks and Rails are the same, the provisions are there for the Electric Motor setup. I had to replace my passenger side Door cause someone backed into it and shattered it..
If you pull the Door Panel off and find the rivets for the main control bracket, look around them, and you will see little indentations. There are 4 of these in the form of a rectangle. To remove the Manual stuff, you have to drill them out, and get the Manual Crank and Arm setup out of it, then replace that with the Electric Motor and Arm Assembly. Then it bolts directly to the bottom of the Window. The only problem you will have is getting power to it, but if you have a way, then got for it. It was easier to go from Electric to Manual, took out all the junk and all the wires.
