Hows your optima fit?
by the way other can get it tested is there any way to determine if a battery is bad or not? i pulled it and it still felt quite heavy if that makes a different but when its been cold the car wont start, just make the sound like its trying to turn over...except very very slow and eventually slows to just a click click click.
and recently when starting in the cold i have been gettin the battery gauge bouncing everywhere. so im thinkin i guess, maybe a bad cell or something. maybe its still covered by optima but ill have to check on that, im not sure how old it is.
As far as switching from a yellow top to a red top -- the yellow top is only designed for deep cycle/reserve capacity. If you aren't running an aftermarket amplifier with a stereo system then there really isn't much of a point. The life of the yellow top is usually less as well.
The red top is basically the way to go, and it won't hit you as hard in the wallet as the yellow top.
