Default Deliema

Alright i want to mod my car. i currently have th following mods
95 Z28 Camaro
Prokit
LCA's
CIA
GMMG
and just replaced the fuel pump year ago

I want to do either cam headers w/ORY or nitrous

I want to say under maybe 600 but i want to see decent gains.
If i go headers i want to get jet hots with the the ORY which runs about 700 all togther unless i can find them cheaper.

If i do cam. im not sure on what the came costs itself but if i do that than: ill need to replace the opti(car has 125K on it prob needs to be changed its starting to sorta miss). and replace the water pump. but i dont know what gains ill see and i want to go with mild setup.

Nitrous i would like to also do. id go with NX maybe stick to the 75-100 shot. BUT my opti is more than likey getting crappy, and my motor has 125K on the clock. would that be risky?

out of those three what woudl you pick for my situation? or maybe you have another idea...
thanks!

i left mine emissions on but i dont think its that hard to remove them and they were easy to install as far as installing long tubes on a lt1 just drop the starter remove all the spark plugs and stering shaft and maybe remove the oil filter

I have pacesetters and wished i would have went with Hooker Super Comps or Kooks. Kooks are the best i've seen for an LT1 or LS1. Had to do alot of modifying to the pacesetter cause they hit the floor board and hit the frame in different places.

All the 1 3/4 Longtubes are going to make withing 1hp of each other.

Pacesetters are an outstanding deal, good quality and they make power.

As for any ORY, your almost certain to have some banging issues right off the bat. But once you figure out were/how it is banging its an easy fix.

www.BYUNSPEED.com has a GREAT deal on pacesetter products.

Tony.

Yes you will see gains.

If you have the right tools the manifolds are easy to get off. I took the Y-pipe off and got the majority of the bolts and plugs from the bottom of the car.

Dont use the pacesetter gaskets, they are **** paper gaskets.

Go to Autozone and pick up some metal gaskets.

Dont stress about getting the plugs off either. Once the Y pipe is off taking the plugs out is like taking a ****.

The pacesetter ORY is slip fit. It will slip over the collecters and then you use either a U-joint Bolt or and exaust band clamp.

I would say from start to finish it took maybe 6 hours.

they y pipe on pacesetters goes over the headers then you have to clamp it. never had an issue with exhaust leaks form there. the y pipe will bang on your frame at first i tooke a pipe and pryed the header and y down on the drivers side where it bangs it will stop after a while dont worry. yes plugs have to come out before manifolds come out. trust me man my freind helped me with doing my headers it took us couple hours and he has hooker headers in his lt1 he said that pacesetter go in so much nicer he had to lay under the car for hours to get the passanger side header me. you will need to tighten the header bolts after you install the headers at least 3 times if you dont that you will blow the header gasket

dont worry man you wont **** anything up only thing that you can mess up is when you put the spark plug wires in make sure they dont touch the header. if they do than you will have to replace it you will misfire. dont mess up the 02 sensors same thing make sure wires dont touch headers. happened to me wow car was misfire like a bitch. its a bolt on its not that hard to do.
