lol im well aware of that, shons car also have 4.56 it was a 6 speed, has k member race seats, it weighs 400 pounds less than me, slicks and skinnies

if i wanted to go for the record i would have gotten a custom cam and a dyno tune...lost about 400 pounds and went to 4.10...and ditched the 4l60-e, and gotten a 4800 stall...but my car is still a streetcar, and gets 25mpg freeway

i have a cc306 cam in mine and i love it to death. Who cares if it is an off the shelf cam, i would have got a custom grind cam if i wanted to go with that, but i have nothing against either one. Custom grinds are going to be the better choice because you can match it with your engine specs. I will probably go with a custom grind cam when i am older, because i am only 17 and I cant afford a custom grind cam lol, and i only paid $150 for my cc306. It all just depends on what you are looking for, there are many varieties of cams and you need to know what lift, duration, and lobe seperation you are wanting. Do you want top end power of Low end power? or there are a few ,mid range cams. The CC306 pulls real hard at around 1800 and from there it starts pulling really hard.

I have no idea what your car runs. You suggested the fastest cam-only car is 11.5x and I was just commenting that I'd hope someone out there is running quicker than that as that is only 2 tenths quicker than the fastest bolt-on car.

It's still forsale. If I can't sell it soon, I'm going to keep it and build it.

well the fastest cam only car is an high 11.2, so its really only 2-3 tenths slower than the fastest cam only car, which is franks car, and its a custom cam, reason the record isnt any faster is no1 goes for that record...

It looks like you spent alot of time/money to convert it. Just keep it, you'll never get what you should out of it, and it is a nice looking car.

Over off of beach I see you and your dad out there all the time. I have actually talked to your dad a few times. His car is one of the nicest lt1s I have ever seen, he takes great care of that car. You may or may not have seen me I was out there last weekend and saw you guys at the car wash, I drive a really loud red ss.

11.5 with cam only? i'm assuming intake and exhaust (headers back?). but you are saying no home porting or any other headwork?

One of my buds had 355, Some head work 150 pill with 306 cam. he ran 10.7...
