Default Whats the difference in these pushrods

I'm probably going to need new pushrods for my car since my heads are getting milled and I'm going to be running a thinner head gasket. Whats the difference between the trickflow, comp magnum, and comp hi-tech pushrods? They are all .080 wall heat treated chromoly, but there is a pretty big price difference in them.

Comp Hi-tech are one piece. Not sure on the trickflows but the regular comps can have the end piece come loose and break

I would go with the Hi Tech ones from Comp. That is what I'm going to be getting here pretty soon.

I have a set of 7.2 trickflow pushrods on my car. They are good quality pushrods. I am also in the same situation as you and will be needing shorter pushrods for this year, and I will probably get another set of the trickflows.

I emailed TEA and Trickflow, the trickflow pushrod are the same exact pushrods as the comp hi-tech pushrods, made by the same manufacturer. They are the same exact pushrods, just $60 cheaper.

Thumbs up

I am rebuilding a 396 LT1 that I built in 2003. We put 120K miles on it. We used Trick Flow Chromoly Pushrods, 0.080 wall. Reason engine is being rebuilt is due to lifter or cam failure. Half of the rollers (OEM hydraulic) dug themselves into the cam lobes, resulting in a squeaking noise. Comp Cam Pro Magnum rockers all look good. But relative to this thread, all Trick flow pushrods looked good. I would reuse them, but am changed heads and need 0.100" longer pushrods. Am going with Trick flow pushrods again! Only $100 from Summit. $30 cheaper than Comp Cam's Hi-Tech version.

Same here, i have the trick flow chromemoly pushrods. I think the comp pushrods are more expensive simply because they have to pay for all their advertising they do.
Trick flow is quality parts.
