oil pump questions Anybody have any links or pics of the inside(hopefully w/text) of the oil pump? I heard something about GM white springs helping with the oil pump's efficiency. The oil pumps I was familiar with consistended of just two gears, basically. Can anyone show me where it sits in the engine as well as the oil travel through the lifter valley? Thanks!

The Oil Pump sits on the large Main Cap on the back bottom of the Engine. You can see the spot in the pic, it has a little groove for it. The Pump only has 2 Gears in it. This is my Corvetre 4-Bolt Block, your part with the Oil Pump on the Main Cap will look the same.
