+1 on that. I drive an ls1 and my gf drives an lt1. I find myself posting in the lt1 section way more than I do the ls1.

Oh one time me and one of my friends were messin with this badass ls1 cammed with 315's out back, the guy with my had a old halloween mask on and we had the windows down tryin to look gangsta listen to mike jones . This is funny. You know I never notice it much lately, but I had my son and his friend in the T/A the other day and they asked my how come so many cars were going by me like they wanted to race? I was amazed. Here I thought it was just my imagination all this time. 
I have all kinds of friends with LS1's, we are all cool. I am the only guy sporting an LT1, and they learned the hard way where some of the respect goes..
Then again mid 12's in a Hotcam LT1 is pretty impressive in itself..

It seems like I only end up racing Mustangs and other LT1 cars. I got excited one night thinking I was going to get to race a LS1 T/A. The guy backed down saying my car sounded too modded, I was pissed that the guy was scared. I knew in my head he had more power, guess like its been stated in this thread, most people don't even know what they have or can compare the different years in the cars.
I plan on dropping in a 402ci L92 built from a 6.0l Iron Block Truck Engine. I know that would cream the hell out alot of things, but I wouldn't go hatin on LT1 cars with that, that is no comparison. I am goin to look like an LT1 Car and represent that side of the house(I think the Camaro from this gen looks alot better), but I am goin after all the LS1 *******..beating them with thir own ****

LT1 F-bod- $50/month Insurance, paid for, Title in hand.
LS1 F-bod- $150+/month Insurance + decent size Car payment= minimal mod money.
My case..
LT1 F-bod + good amound of mod money= soon to be hopefully over 450rwhp, and still $50/ Insurance. Priceless..
