Question How fast do you think i'll go in a 1/4

Alright im about 2-3 weeks out from getting my car on the road after some mods. I was wondering in everyones opinion on how fast you think i'll run in a 1/4 mile. The car has more parts to come but i dunno when the army is going to deicided to back pay me. so i can continue with other mods...Here's my set up i got port and polished heads, ported intake, cc306 cam, complete new com cam valve train, 1.6 alumninum roller rockers, MSD blaster coil, MSD opti, stock supension, stock exhuast manifolds, stock exhust without a muffler (dont ask), sub frame connectors, No A/C pump, and the camaro is a t-top car with A4, 3.42 out back and I have a set of street slicks on the back... So if you have any idea please let me know. Things to still come are LT's, bigger injectors, 3.73, 3000 stall, nitrious, adjustable torque arm, lower control arms, 5 way adjustable shocks, slicks and skinny's and one hell of a tune... thanks agian

My guess is that your exhaust manifolds are going to be your bottle neck. My best guess wouldbe 8.2-8.30's in the 1/8th and 12.60-12.70's in the 1/4

A speed shop up here in Northwest Indiana, they had about 30 hours of machne work done on them and what i've been told was that 20 hours is the least time you want done on the heads... But they are port and polished to the max for stock heads new valves and all

Not sure what "street slicks" are but.... H/C/I car in the 13's? I'd burn the car down if that happened.

I was running 8.40's with Hooker shorties (basically just as good as manifolds) and a hot cam. That's what I was basing it on especially since he has the 306

you might get 12's take it to the track and let us know.and most people just take a dremel tool and clean their heads up and say they have p&p heads. atleast you took a step in the right direction having a speed shop do them. one ques. though why didnt you have AI or loyd elliot do them is there that big of a price difference?not trying to dog your heads or anything just curious

I think 12s. Im on stock heads w/ Hotcam and bolt-ons and i run 12.48 @112.27 on a stock 10 bolt. I see myself running low 12s very hi 11s, now that i have a S60 rear end that i can put some serious tires on. But you do need to get some headers to see real gains out of that motor.

IMO, the stock suspension will be the biggest holdup.

Yes, but look at your suspension mods. You can hook up well with those mods, which are the proper ones. JMO.

Slicks can make up for suspension at lower power levels but can also bog a car with not enough power, ask me how I know?

How about me?

4.10's
150 shot
Skinnies in front, 325 Nitto's in back
LT headers, cutout open
LPE CAI
Tune
LCA's
PHB
200 lbs. weight reduction.

I ran a 13.4 in my auto with bald street tires, and full race weight with just the headers, tune, and CAI. What do you guys think I'll run the 1/4 in? My stall should be going in soon.

(Speaking for the 1/4 only...I don't do 1/8th mi anything) 12.9 - 13.0, CAI, LT's & decent exhaust will help you get down around 12.6 - 12.8 or so.

Yeah the guy doing my heads for me is only doing them for 450 dollars, his dad works with me. And i would rather pay 450 then 1100 plus hipping and handling.
