Actually, simply adding a trans-brake would get my 60' down. However, since I don't have a full cage, neck brace, fire suit, NHRA license, etc. . . I'm not that interested in running a quicker ET. My next goal is 150 mph.

ANYWAY. SO you guys are telling me I am one of the few pushing into the nines with Ported GM LT1 castings? The set that came on my car from the factory even!

I was talking to Ray and Nitro daves today. Once my heads are converted they will be true LT1 heads just like AFRs

Like I said I would have never guessed had I not been told by four different people at AFR including Tony Then again maybe after waiting for Over Three months for a set of 210 LT4 heads they all just decided to tell us any thing

If I am not mistaken, Steve Quinn ran in the nines with factory LT1 castings all motor 4 or 5 years ago.

Steve Quinn, Rick Abare both ran nines. LT1 castings, all motor. No bottle. Don't remember how quick Quinn was, well into the nines. (50s or 60s?) Several guys have run nines on the bottle. Spray enough of that crap in a Honda, and it will run nines.

Today is the first time I didn't run nines this year. Hot, humid & slick starting line. Bald spots everywhere thanks to all the street tire cars. Corvette club showed up. Could only run 10.0hs @ 133.80s. Mine has LT4 castings, so doesn't count.

What I meant, guess I wasn’t clear, was the small ports. Mine are 215cc, LT1s I have seen are smaller, usually 200 or less.

AH I see. Yeah we stretched mine to 210cc(GM LT1 castings). One of the reasons I am going to do it is they have adopted Cali Emmisions here in Washington state. They are not here but they are coming in force by 2010. Most street classes require current tabs and it is going to make it damn near impossible short of an engine swap every year

So what the hell. I HAVE the parts. Why not use them There are very few classes up here and I can race in a few of them. None of the races you guys get are ever going to show up west of Texas so why bother building for them I might make it to one a year in the future but no hopes of racing a series where I have to drive over 2,000 miles for every race.

Besides it is the best way to catch RIGHT up to the LS1 cars of the present and future
