insurance is good assurance.
spend the money to make it as reliable as possible when you weigh the odds 600.00 to splay may just save a 650.00+crank 450.00+rods 600.00+pistons and 1500-2000.00heads.
remember this when we get down on the throttle parts do shift, flex etc.that starts killing bearings and other parts fatique...spend the cash once..

It's the same one you'd use for a regular one piece SBC. If your not running a 4 bolt or splayed caps then at minimum you should run a girdle. They are cheap...

cheapest forged stroker crank I've found was like 600+ I haven't heard of any stroker cranks for $300? Any more info on that, I'd be very interested.

Man, I wish I could remember where I even found them but it's been probably over four years since or longer since I bought it. I tried to do a google search but came up with nothing although admittingly I didn't look very hard...

Tony.
I have an LT4 four bolt main block with ARP studs, and as far as I know it is rated for more horsepower than the standard two bolt main LT1 block. Poeple are running 8 seconds with the four bolt main block so I'm not worried about mine breaking.

if you build a motor period i believe splayed mains are only intelligent. Makes no sence to go through ALLL that work not to do that one simple thing... and consider the fact they hold it allll together...
