headlamps
(Although I've seen a few cars that have torx for some odd reason)
Remove plastic housing (2 screws on each site)
Remove one screw from metal retainer
Pull old headlamp out, put new one in, try not to break the wires in the process.
Turn on your headlights so the housings pop up, then turn it one click to the parking lights so the housings stay up but the lights themselves turn off.
You can either unhook the battery or leave it but I suggest unhooking the battery in case this takes you a while.
- Remove the 4 philips head screws from the black plastic shroud over each headlamp.
- Remove the shrouds with care even though they are pretty durable. They can be flexed a bit to get them out.
- Reach in and unplug the headlamp from its connector
- You will now see the black trim ring (metal) with 4 screws holding the headlamp housing into the bucket. I actually remove the top two and loosen the bottom two so I can more of less slide the headlamp housing out.
- From there, reverse the process to put the new silverstar housing in and your all done.
