Not **** is up... spent all week getting rid of the junk 4.3 out of my truck and stuffin a vortec 5.7 in. Should be driving it tomarro... retained ac and all.

Yeah the sig is kind of a sarcastic way to make fun of all the big headed LS1 boys.

You jsut need to go manual or a3 on your car. That tranny **** is WACK. Mine is going out and as soon as it ***** the car gets a T-braked th350 and ditching stock pcm for Megasquirt.

Probly should get a tranny in before you worry tooo much about that cam lol

Lets just pic a cam outta the hat and BOOM....POWER! Some peolpe on this site.....Need a Honda in their sig.

The 305 is one of the best cams for a stock cube motor. The 306 might be better since you have head work but it should be GOOD head work to use the cam and you need to spin to 6300 to use a 306 to it's worth. If your on a stock 4L60 with the line pressure turned up WAVE GOODBYE to third gear soon if not all of them.

Just stick a GM847 in it and be wow'd at having a mid size cam spec in you sig.

right now if you didnt read my sig i do have a mild cam and i do love it, but i want more power and thought maybe it might help but i guess some people on here are just *** holes to begin with and dont know how to just explain **** instead of just making them seem like there idiots, but thanks any way.. and yes my line pressure is turned up thanks to my tuned computer and i've eaten my share of 4L60E's in this past year and a half, but like i said before i just wanted to see if any one could help me find a good cam that might be worth actaully taking the time and swapping out my comp cams 305 for maybe some thing a little bigger..

If you want off the shelf look at the CC503 with 1.6s, the LPE 219/219 .560/.560, LPE 211/219 .533/.560, or try for a good custom grind...Joe Overton told me once that with ported stock LT1 castings anything over .570" lift in a cam is wasted...Also going too big will require more converter and rear gear than most are willing to do...Imho I wouldn't go more than 230 degrees @ .050 and if an N/A set up is what you're looking for I'd tighten the lsa to the 112-110 range...I'm no expert but I've seen what works well in street/strip set ups...Power under the curve is what its all about, not peak power at 7000 rpms...at least not for the street....My set up is done at 6300, and has left many folks with much bigger cams wayyy behind me...Take your time and research the whole combo...Good luck...

Motor was originally a Lingenfelter 383...In 2005 I had Eric Bradby re-port the heads and Joe Overton spec'd me a 226/234 .568" lift HR cam..The heads are stock LT1 castings with 2.00/1.56 valves, compression is 11.2:1...The bottom end has remained untouched since it was built in 1995...Calliies crank, Oliver billet steel 5.85" rods and JE pistons...Block is a 4 bolt factory Corvette block...

for your cam choice do you want a bigger cam for the sound or are you going for the most performance?.....i got the 292xfi because i want a better sound out of my car and will be doing the shortblock next year....if your going for performance get a custom grind....i have the 503 and it makes great power but when i asked for help on the 292 everyone put me down cuz i t was too big for what i have but they didnt listen when i said i was going to rebuild the car soon and it wasnt an all out race car so it really depends on what your polans are
