Default Serious electrical issues

Alright, this may have been my worst stroke of luck ever.

I had an interview today, I pretty much had the job (Sears Auto Tech), all I had to do was show up on time. And my car wouldn't start. I called them and explained, and they basically said too bad too sad...

So, rather than throw a hissy-fit, I want to figure out why my car won't start.

Here is the deal. My battery is not dead. My lights and radio all work just fine. But when I press the clutch in and turn the key, car is dead as a doornail. No power. Nothing.

I just put a new starter in in December.

It does not crank. It does not turn over. Nothing. I sat there for 30 minutes trying to get it to start, and it wouldn't. Eventually, I got the car to crank 3 times in a row, but it never actually started, and than it was dead once more.

The car has been FINE. No signs of trouble. I can not for the life of me figure this out. Any help would be grand.

Negative. However, my key is definately worn...perhaps that could be part of the issue?

This may sound stupid, but are your battery posts tightened down all the way? I have had this happen with several of my f-bodys. All of the electronics in the car will work just fine but the battery post is just a hair too loose for the car to start. You might also try cleaning your battery posts.

Well I got the car to start cranking, but now it will not start!

I have fuel pressure, and the car cranks like normal...and if I am quiock enough I can get ONE 'rev' if i tap the gas before it dies...

Solenoid? PCM? Opti? (oh god please not the opti..)

Help...I have a ton of job interviews this week and my friends are very quickly gonna get tired from hauling me around.

Your car hates you because your handle here is 69Cougar.

I would check ALL the ground points including the battery ground on the side of the block.

But but...all the good names are already taken!

And I will check the grounds.
