Well idk about the retro, that definitely wouldn't look right on the car imo. But I love my LS1 face, and I'm doing a LE2 package from Llyod this fall, so she's going to look perdy and fly as well.

IDK about him but here's a pic I have from a couple weeks ago. There's no point in getting anymore pics till I paint cause everything is off the car being prepped.

I just threw the fenders on to see what it would look like. But nonetheless if you guys wanted "proof" that I'm doing this here ya go.

LE2 package from Llyod

http://www.eportworks.com/lt1.html
I don't think there is a competitor here so maybe it's ok to post this link. If it gets deleted you'll know why then.

there's a link to all of Llyod's package offerings. Also he does custom work if you didn't necessarily want a LE1 or LE2 etc...

Match that LE2 H/C package to my Factory L92/TSP MS3 Heads & Cam that are goin on my 402 LS2 Stroker.. it won't even come close, the LSX Engines have far better capability. I know you can't compare it with a Stroker for a bottom end, but the L92 Heads flow 325/210, 4.000" bore at .600 Lift, that's crazy for factory stuff. That's just how it is now. I will be able to get real close to 500hp at the wheels with my setup, and that's about 6K invested. Half of that will be spent on Heads/Cam for a LT1 to get that..

Yea, you ain't lyin, that's the thing about that Engine. I can't wait to see what mine's going to do.
As far as the sound, I think a 4.000" Bore X 4.000" Stroke with a big Heads/Cam through some LT's is going to sound pretty ****** sweet....

Yea, but it's nice to start with something that has a good design to it.

Oh I know. Exactly man, but you also have to realize that with all that money you spent, your near what a stock LS1 costs. you can buy a stock lt1 for 5k. If you put another 5-6k in it your dead even in price for a LS1 SS etc... yet your a hell of a lot faster. See this is what I think people forget. They think oh I spent so much more to mod my LT1, true but in the long run your spending the same amount and going a hell of a lot faster.

IDK in a couple years I'm getting into a new vette anyways, been saving for a while. IMO it's pointless to spend my money on something that may be new right now but in a year will be considered old technology.

What is probably the smart move is buying myself a LS1 motor then. I've seen them go for around 1400 bucks which is a good deal, idk something to think about this winter.

Just buy some RHS 235 heads and have them converted and slap on a $250 2925 Super Vic with a big HR, 500RWHP should not be a problem on motor with a little 383.

$$$ can make anything fast, if you do it smart you may be suprised ( Personally I have over 20,000+ setting on my shelf, going to be fun when it goes into the car

Hell yeah I want one of the LS7's LOL!

Jesus that would be sweet man! I'd love to be in the 10's, hell I'm trying to break into the 12's. But then again at the moment my car only has exhaust and a tune. I'm finally finished on the cosmetics after this spring. Juicing it this summer tho, nothing big maybe a 75 shot, that should definitely put me over the marker. I'm in a slump right now, damn car can't break into the 12's.

I want 10's, NA, no juice. You are going to be pushing a LT1 to the limits for that..my LS2 Stroker is barely scratching the surface..
