Well first off I bought the halos and the HID kit. I'm not keeping the stock headlights. Secondly shes getting a set of silver metallic rally racing stripes (black car) that will go real well with the z06's, not too mention the clear corners. And that absolutely gorgeous to me. I just never really liked the way the LT1 looked, too much like the third gens with the lights and all, and man I really dislike third gens. Not hatin on anyone that's just how I feel.

Also there's been a few guys on here that I've seen with LS1 bodies and a LT1 motor, looks like they just threw in a LT1 instead, which isn't really any different from what I'm doing. other than a few small things like brakes and interior. Where's that formula firebird guy when you need him.

here's the tear down

juat threw the fenders on to get a vision. new hood is on as well, just hard to tell. It's just a stock 2002 LS1 hood.

That was last weekend. Can't get home this weekend cause I'm booked with school, finals are coming up. But next week, I'm hitting the checy dealer that my dad's friends with. I stll need all the little stuff like fog/healight brakets, and some hardware for the ls1 face. You just can't find that **** at the junkyard, almost impossible.

its 7 brakets that you need
1-bumper top support
2-fender support
2-headlight brackets (2 fogs, optional)
2-fender to headlight bracket support
=7
you should be able to use the same hardware

Yeah I have a list from camaroz28. The guy did a write up and has a list of the part numbers. Small stuff like that I'm hitting the parts store from the dealership. I'm sick of doing this scavenger hunt. It's getting old now, I want to start painting already.

Sounds like a cool swap. How much you want for the lt1 ss Hood? I am assuming it's black? Right?

What part in NJ are you? Is it factory or a reproduction? Lighter than a stock z28 hood? Let me know, I'm interested.

I'll think about it, would have to have someone meet you or send you a little more to go a extra 45-50 miles.
