I'm a little excited..it's all GM Factory parts really, even the Heads. I am hoping 10's, you guys with mid and low-11's cars are still fast as hell..you got times, I don't yet. I got to finish it..

That's an understatement.

About 1/2 the threads in the LT1 tech section have pictures of his intake and tb or the picture he posted of the whole motor.

My old setup was a daily driver.... Ran 10.40@131 all day and I could drive it back and forth to work everyday.....

Setup was 355 ci LT1, 2 bolt main, stock crank, eagle rods, SRP 11.7:1 pistons, IRS P&P LT1 castings, ported intake, long tubes, mufflex 4", TH400 with 4000 stall and 9" rear. Gen VI DFI. TNT 150 shot...

It ran 11.60's on motor at will.... It was also full weight with almost zero done to the front suspension....

My new 8 second setup will be driven on the street..... but as far as the cops and the neighbors are concerned it better not be every day...

Thnx, it has took me a while to get her close to where I want her. Another 1/2 second is the goal and more traction & a bit more spray may solve that?

nice car! thought it was an old pic mine for a second, lol.

mine was a daily driver about 3 years ago. Mods havent changed much..had shorties instead of LTs and the wheel/tire combo was different. I was on 17x9 SS wheels, and swapped to Telstar front runners at the track with 555rs on Salad Shooters. car ran a best of 12.68 back then on the 100 shot....

...NOW I AM THE SLOWEST OF THE GROUP!

Maybe it's just me... but daily driving a TH400 with that kind of gear and stall combo would pretty much kill my wallet with gas bills.

Yeah a TH400 and 4000 stall isn't the best combo for daily driving of course if you're talking any highway miles..... but really it wasn't all that bad on gas going to and from work about 8 miles each way.... I would drive it like 50-100 miles per week.... This was a few years back before gas was like 3.50 a gallon in california.... now i wouldn't be able to afford it...

I miss daily driving my LT1 kinda, was a lot of fun looking back on it. Wish I would have done a few things different with the car to save a lot of hassle and money.

Sits under a car cover, never drive it any more, think I average like 1K miles a year at most on the car. Dont have time nor do I care to really drive it any more.

^^ thats sad. ive had mine broke nonstop for 2 years and would love to drive it all day every day!! i have taken the "race car" approach with my daily driver..no carpet, heat, a/c, turn signals, back up lights, and no stereo.
but its great driving through traffic after work on open headers, smellin those exhaust fumes
