If you don't mind me asking, how much did the heads & intake set up cost you? Do you know what they flow? BTW... the bottom end stuff looks good. Should be bad when you get it finished.

i normally don't post on this site but i saw this and had to pop in. i am also intrested in your results. i am working with a set of heads that should have the same or better results. on a funny side note i am also going to spray a 300 shot (125 dry/175 wet, 2 different kits. 1 hidden other in plain view) looking foward to seeing your dyno numbers and where it all falls in the rpm band. i should have mine done in mid june , IF things stay on time. 2nd kit will go own in july or august. good luck zex , this should be intresting.

Yes. I will post all my results because I am sure I wont be embarrassed. I also did this all for under $5000.00 not including labor for the machine shop. Man they were not bullshittn. 1500.00 for the .60 bore, did some kind of harmonic proof crap to the block, plasma coating the pistons, deck the block .020 thou, blueprint and balance, new cam bearings, new freeze plugs, gaping my piston rings for Nitrous, pressing the pistons onto the rods, nearling.... gamn that was the expensive part.... but 300.00 to assemble. I think i'll do that myself. Might as well spent $7,000.00. But i got a stroker motor for the price. Still got your car 92 rs? Anything new? that was a bad *** LT1. Props dude. I couldnt help but read the streetfire thread you know the one you sent me a long time ago. You complained about you loosing me off the line and all but I won regardless, but correct me if i am wrong, didnt we agree to do it on the roll as well. What was the outcome. You also said I had spray and stuff. I just want to put it on the table right now, get this crap straightend out. I did not have spray....... just the better built motor. Your a cool guy man and i would not do that too you. If I had spray..... you would have known it. There would have been backfiring, fire out the pipes, heavy smoke, you would have heard it kick in because I had a 175 shot in my nozzel. I pulled the bottle just like you asked. You watched me do it. My car beat your car from a dig, took me a minute....... and I got you on the roll. You had the better launch + gears and a clutch+ better tires. I had a stock clutch, stock tires, stock gears, and a hell of a motor. I just didnt want to make the same mistake that I did against Mike so i baby'ed it out of the whole. The better results were from a roll. It was a close race for a minute and a good race at that. But once again my car proved it's point. If i spray, I'm gone. Shawn gets me even worse out of the hole on spray 150 shot and i still catch him with ease in the quarter on no spray. i just want to say you are a kool kat, no hard feeling toward our race, mayby we can run again one day. Thanx for serving our country.

still got it. registration/inspection ran out and I can't inspect it till I get new tires
haven't put insurance on it since the tags are out so I haven't been driving it. taking it back into the shop in a few weeks to fix some things here and there then I'll be driving it again. thanks for the props, was definitely a sweet run, looking forward to seeing your results this time around.

I dont set my goals low. You can be easly dissapointed if you expect too much. Like the guy standing beside his car on the dyno and the other guys ask how much he's going to make and he responds well i put 5000 into it..... I should make 430whp and the dyno gives him a dose of reality of 350whp. WTF man he replys. I'm just saying you never know. I hope all goes well on this build and I get to unleash the fury. By fall or Late winter my car will be turbo and I might have to sell my LE heads because the Cumbustion chambers are really small and will have my compression at 12:5 If I have too I will get me a set of AFR heads with 64cc, that should drop the compression down just enough to run at least 7-10lbs. I have the turbo headers and hot kit. I got all caught up in racing this dude that i forgot I had to build my engine to even handle a turbo. Then my buddys at the shop and everyone else told me I should stroke it and add more compression and before you know it. Boom. This is where I am with my turbo dream still on my mind. It will happen but I really need to see this motor run and then I'll take the next step. I always do what I say. I never lie. I stick to my guns just like I always have. Thats why i have gotten where I have in life. I do very well for my age and have had very little guidence. Bottom line..... when someone is pursuing something, not even a sledgehammer to the face could stop his persistance. LT1's..... raise your glass....... can I get a hell yeah!

I am building my LE3/LE4 combo on a forged bottom end also. Really curious about how much I will be able to squeeze out of it. I see your running different internals on the bottom end. What kind of pistons are you going to run to handle your big shot of nitrous? I went with mahle , but heard they are not that great for nitrous cause of high silicon content. It is ok however, as it is supposed to be a better street piston and I am looking to run N/A mostly.
Did you use 4 bolt splayed caps? (what kind?)
I just had some of pro grahms installed on my shortblock. The block was dropped off weeks ago and should be done this week.
I will be out to HRP when it is all done.
