A buddy of mine sold his 97 Z28 converted to the LS1 style with the SS hood and wing for 7k with a salvage title. The car ran 10.70's also with a rebuilt 355 with about 2k miles on it. I would say just keep it. If you really don't need the money, keep it as a weekend car. If you ask my buddy, thats the biggest mistake he's made.
