When i switched from mobile 1 to royal purple and i took it out to drop my friend off at home i noticed that it ran smoother and seemed like it had more power could just be me but anyway ive been using it ever since the first time and i wont settle for anything less

I use Archer oil...some claim it is more highly refined than other stuff, but some say its oil just like everything else...idk

Nothing wrong with Race Grade Royal Purple, just don't expect it to perform good in a daily driver over a few 1000 miles. I wonder when Dwayne will respond.

Did a dyno test last year with my LT1 for Klotz and picked up 6 hp at peak and 10 hp elsewhere in the curve. I was running standard 10w30 in it before.

I'm no expert and dont know for sure. I would think at your first regular oil change or thereafter. When I got my new motor put in I asked my mechanic if synthetic would be a good idea. He just said to definitely not break it in with synthetic cause it will affect how the rings seat and everything seals up. I've heard that switching to synthetic will typically cause you to see more leaks too. Eh, I've been using mobile 1 10W30 and just changed my oil for the 2nd time with this motor last weekend.

Vegetable....it has some crappy oil in it now, was short on cash after the LT swap so I had to go cheapy, gonna switch it to some quaker state.

i plan on switching like all my fluids to royal purple... well, at least engine/tranny/rear fluids...

although i may do amsoil....
