gauges suck
Since you all are on the topic of gas gauges, does anyone's needle sway side to side when turning? Like it can go from half full to empty with a hard right turn. I'm not sure if it is normal on older cars, or my sending unit needs replaced. Trending Topics

You put like 2 1/2 gallons in your car and expected to go more then 50 miles?
When ever I get a new car I am carefull and make sure I do things like change all the fluids and FILL the tank full to get an idea of what it will do and I am carefull to run it down lower and lower till I get to where I am filling it with what the book say it takes.
I got to tell you If I am only putting 10 bucks in a tank that takes $56 to fill I am not expecting to go far
Mine does this and has as long as I have had the car. Since I don't drive it everday, I just live with it (and fill-up after about 100 or so miles)
i have autometer gauges in my 79...when the needle hits 3/4 of a tank...i need to fill up 9.5 gallons of gas lol. and this is in a 21 gallon tank
also 5 bucks gives me 1/4 tank and one time i put like 30 in it and it was like 1/2 tank past full and it was nowhere near full.
also my temp gauge does not work but the fans kick on. anyone know why that is?
also my trip meter is broken. should i go get a new cluster?
