15-16 psi roughly should hold pressure for 10 minutes when testing.

Okay the reason I am asking is because my car is always overheating. The fan does come on. The water pump also does come on. It has a griffin radiator. I think the fan may be a problem because it is a stock fan off of my old motor which was a 305. The cooling system will easily hold 16 psi all day. It has the stock thermostat. It does only have a 15 lbs cap on the radiator. I think that may be a problem also.

Well I have a custom Griffin radiator and the guy told me 17lbs, so the stock LT1 radiator may be a little different.
