Do you know the brand of the cam? Company's like comp should be able to tell you the recommended lash based on the known specs.

I believe he said it was a custom grind comp cams, and i've tried to call them, but always on hold for like twenty minutes and just hang up, I don't have that much time to waste calling them. I've tried like 3 times a day for the last week, and get no answer.

I would watch the valves to find TDC. I would not trust the arrow on the balancer. Most balancers are not keyed and you are trusting who ever put it on put the arrow at TDC. Watching the valves will tell you what you need to know.

If my memory is correct I set mine up @ .002 and .004 cold and the lash grew to .016 and .018.

Are you running a solid roller setup as well?

Also, just as a side note, I did the valve lash correctly tonight, AND SHE ******* FIRED UP!!!!

After waiting for 2 years and 8 months to hear my baby start again, she finally has. I just about peed myself when she did. I can't even sleep cause of it right now.
